Dewy’s Adventure drips into Wiis

Hi! I'm Dewy! Do you feel the need to Wii now? - Image 1

Really, what is it with the Wii, Konami, Shingo Mukaitoge, and cutesy colorful blobs? Fresh out of busting Elebits out of their hiding places, the same team behind that game unveils before IGN Dewy’s Adventure, featuring a drop of dew named… Dewy.

Dewy takes place in this mythical world where a droplet of water is the key to defeating the evil Don Hedron, clean up his dirt, and bring light cleanliness to the world. Shingo only reveals a little of the gameplay: that Dewy can be heated and cooled to achieve different goals… hey, just like a certain blob of mercury. Unlike Elebits, which leaned towards the action-shooter genre, and emphasized physics, Dewy’s Adventure seems to be geared towards puzzles, just like that certain blob of mercury, and will emphasize graphics.

Shingo estimates that Dewy will drop onto Wiis in 2007. Of course, this is the only water you can drop on the Wii, as per the Nintendo Wii Safety Manual graphics. Here are IGN’s screens of a droplet of water.
