Digimon Battle open beta starts today

There may not be an official Pokemon MMO out there, but players who are into the whole “collecting monsters and having them fight” scene have a viable alternative: WeMade Entertainment’s Digimon Battle.

 

There may not be an official Pokemon MMO out there, but players who are into the whole “collecting monsters and having them fight” scene have a viable alternative: WeMade Entertainment’s Digimon Battle.

 

The MMO, which goes into open beta today, is based on seasons one through four of the original Digimon animated series. Players select a Tamer character — either Takato Matsuki, Henry Wong, Rika Nonaka, or Jeri Katou — and set off with their Digimon to make the latter stronger using the Digivolution system.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Three types of Digimon Partners and seven types of Captured Digimon are available for players to find and tame in the world. Players and their Digimon level up by winning battles, and players can progress from a Rookie Tamer to the powerful Brave Grade.

 

The Digimon Battle open beta kicks off this afternoon at 5:00 PM PDT, so those interested can still sign up here. Only the Normal Digivolution system, where players strengthen their Digimon partners by leveling up, will be available during the open beta. The level cap has also been limited to 50.
