Digital Capture Services for the PS3
This isn’t really for the average consumer, but just in case some of you are planing to make huge video captures of PS3 game sequences, here’s a bit of news that you might find useful.
Digital Foundry Ltd. has recently announced its support for the PS3 console saying that it will provide support and video capture services for Sony‘s next-gen. The capture technology called Digital Foundry HD promises to provide video captures of “pristine quality” high definition video.
The company promises these benefits to Digital Foundry HD clients:
- Perfect digital quality video for use in-game, or for promotional purposes
- Promotional videos can be rescaled for broadcast (SD and HD), DVD and internet usage with the very best possible quality
- The entire video output of a capture session can be used to extract perfect quality screenshots
Digital Foundry Ltd. also note that the advantage that this has is that its core technology is portable. Basically the company can work on location since its HD capture units are the size of a toaster and weighs just six kilograms.
