Director’s Cut for Bone: Out From Boneville now here
If you don’t know who Fone, Phoney and Smiley are, then now is the time to get to know them. These cousins are the stars of Telltale Games‘ Bone: Out From Boneville, which was released in 2005.
This game is actually a short, three-dimensional arcade adventure, which was based on the company’s Bone comic books. Apart from having several former LucasArts employees working behind it, it’s also got puzzles and mini games, and some solid animation. Anyway, what’s up with this game is that its game designer, Heather Logas, has released the Director’s Cuts of the game.
To get it, you simply have to update to the Director’s Cuts, if you already have the game. No worries, though, cos they say it’s perfectly free. Not only that, you can also now play the game in multiple resolutions.
Basically, there are two types of changes. According to Jeff Smith, the author of the story, the first was “to clean up some places we rushed in the story scenes back when we first launched.” The second would be the setting up of the larger Bone story that is to take place over the course of all their games. “To do that, we’ve created a very atmospheric beginning called “The Prophecy” that tells the story of Mlm, Queen of the Dragons, and her battle with the Lord of the Locust, setting the stage for the Bone cousins’ arrival.”
Hmm..that sure sounds like a bigger adventure. So there. Check it out and enjoy the cut.
