Disc loader defects: When the PS3 thinks it’s too good for your game

We’ve given you guys reports of people having problems with their PS3 disc loaders already, so we won’t go into the details regarding that problem. I mean, back when it was reported we were careful enough to say that it’s generally unconfirmed. It turns out it really isn’t an exciting ninja-shuriken-esque Blu-ray disc spit of death. Instead it’s a rather boring, and rather disappointing (if you’re the console owner), “I’m too good for this game” refusal to let the disc in.

Oh well. So does this mean that if it has a YouTube vid it’s more credible? The video could be fake. There isn’t any real way to confirm he didn’t jury-rig the PS3 in the vid. So we’re leaving it to you guys. “Xbots” (what a particularly nasty term) will scream “Haha 360FTW” or something just as boisterous. PS3 fan-folks will say “Fake!!” or something to the effect that this is only one console out of a few hundred thousand or so. Anyway, just enjoy the vid folks… and keep it civil.
