Disney DS games to have its own Miis, Achievements with DGamer
Lots of good things are surfacing for the Nintendo DS, with downloadable content from Professor Layton and the Curious Village being the most recent. There’s another one in the form of DGamer, an instant messaging service for Disney‘s Nintendo DS games. It’s jampacked with features, some mimicking the Wii’s Mii system as well as Xbox 360’s Achievements. More details and screenshots in the full article!
After the Nintendo DS had its taste of downloadable content with Professor Layton and the Curious Village, we knew that its just a matter of time before we get even more good things in Nintendo’s handheld money printer. In a tie-up between Disney and Nintendo Company Ltd., Disney will implement DGamer, a Mii system of sorts for the DS.
DGamer will be supported by future Disney games for the Nintendo DS, and will have its own version of Xbox 360’s Achievements system, called Honors. DGamer will also have its own instant messaging feature that is reminiscent of the DS’s pre-loaded Pictochat.
The first game to support DGamer will be The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, so if you want to check out the goodness that is DGamer, better grab that game when it comes out. We wish that its not confined to Disney games only, however.
