Four Dissidia: Final Fantasy gameplay vids comin’ right up! See some of your favorites slug it out and belt their moves out against each other. We’ve got four matchups here, will your boy win his match?
First up, it’s Tidus and Zidane. This five-minute match has a lot of mini-combos in it, but it seems like Square Enix gave cooler combos to Tidus, while Zidane’s attacks look like cheap shots put together (yes, I’m more of a Zidane than a Tidus fan). One thing I do like about Tidus’ move set is that he has his old Blitz Ace Overdrive, with the same button-press last shot.
The second match is between the Onion Knight and Kefka. One obvious comment on this one is that the Kefka user is a Blizzard spammer. It’s a pretty boring fight, mostly a battle of spell-casting. I expected more from Final Fantasy‘s evil clown, funny that he walks like Snow White with the woodland creatures though.
Up next is Terra against Jecht. So how will the half-Esper fare against Tidus’ old man? Jecht sure knows how to hurt with his kicks, being a Blitzball star and all. But Terra has a few tricks up her sleeve, with magic attacks that really hurt. If you ask me, the Terra user doesn’t know how to play, the vid gets a little boring with all the pointless jumping.
So finally, we’re down to the main event: Cloud vs. Squall. Cloud gets a quick Cross-Slash in, but Squall’s Fated Circle brings the FF7 icon down to his knees in an instant. No Lion Heart or Omnislash here. Too bad.
