Several new details have emerged regarding Square Enix‘s upcoming Dissidia: Final Fantasy title for the Sony PSP, by way of three new scans from Famitsu magazine. The publication’s coverage for this week also included in-battle screenshots, which should give us a clue of how Dissidia‘s all-star cast can be expected to duke it out in the field of combat.
One of the scans also contained an interview with Square’s Tetsuya Nomura, who provided the fans with some extra details regarding the game. Here are some of the interview’s highlights (translation via Forever Fantasy):
- Max character level is 100.
- Each character has a unique skill.
- During the battle you’ll be able to pick up treasure chests.
- Nomura said there won’t be more than 20 characters, but stated there might be surprises. We are guessing there will be secret unlockable characters.
- The game will have Gil and AP, however their use is a secret for now.
- Game is 50% complete, they are done with the characters.
Well, here’s to hoping that the dev team won’t run into any more complications that might delay Dissidia‘s progress (like last year). We’ve posted copies of the Famitsu coverage below. Drop by again in case we receive any further details regarding this matter.
