DK Jungle Climber Jungle Swinging gameplay video

Besides racing around in a racetrack, beating up other Nintendo franchise characters and banging on his bongos, here’s the big bad brown DK himself doing something that we’ve probably never seen him do for a long time: climb stuff. Monkeys do it, baboons do it, we’re guessing gorillas do it too – and DK’s a master at it, as you’ll see in this gameplay video of Nintendo’s DK Jungle Climber for the Nintendo DS.

In this video, we see the game in action, and while it’s no Donkey Kong Country, it certainly has that flavor – and the climbing aspect of it is done pretty well, despite looking just a bit weird. Particularly the bit with DK using his climbing skills to turn a wheel in order to reach new heights – it’s quite clever, and shows off the game’s mechanics pretty nicely.
