Wolf predicts that a US$ 100 cut in the iPhone 3G‘s advertised price could double, maybe even triple projected sales, leaving other smartphones eating its dust. Save maybe “niche” smartphones, like the BlackBerry.

Considering that production costs for the iPhone 3G costs US$ 174.33, I doubt the price cut will happen anytime soon, unless Apple really just wants to stick a poker up its competition’s collective… ports. Although, Wolf does say that heavy subsidies from AT&T will still allow for a price cut.
