Double Fine has four new games in deelopment
Tim Schafer had a bit of a bittersweet message for Double Fine fans at the Develop event in the UK. A Brutal Legend sequel has apparently been scrapped, but in its place four new games have sprung up.
Tim Schafer had a bit of a bittersweet message for Double Fine fans at the Develop event in the UK. A Brutal Legend sequel has apparently been scrapped, but in its place four new games have sprung up.
Of the cancellation, Schafer said, “Apparently when [the publisher] said it was a done deal, there was a deal, and it was done.”
After the cancellation of Brutal Legend 2, the studio split into four teams with each working on small “indie-style” games. Double Fine eventually found a publisher for four of their best projects and according to Schafer, we might even see some of them within the year in both retail and downloadable formats.
