Doves and guns: new Stranglehold gameplay
One room, and a whole lot of carnage. There’s a lot to be said about John Woo Presents Stranglehold, but you won’t be able to deny one thing: the many little touches to the game that are distinctly John Woo.
In this nearly eight-minute trailer to Stranglehold, you will see Chow Yun-Fat doing all sorts of acrobatic things you wouldn’t think possible from a man named Tequila. Besides always having enough bullets for his dual handguns (via the pickups), there are also the stunts your character gets to do, from running up a bannister and sliding down from it (shooting all the while!) to lying on a food cart while taking down baddies.
You also get the seeming invincibility of your main character against multiple bazooka volleys and, in a special move that is 100% John Woo, you’ll also get to see Tequila drop to one knee, spin around with his twin handguns and shoot down his enemies while white doves of peace fly around him. Thank you, Activision, for that kind of special move.
Oh, and did we mention that he also shoots someone in the crotch in this trailer? SWEET!
In any case, if you have the patience for this download, you’ll certainly be rewarded with a lot of Tequila and even more gameplay goodness. Enjoy!
