Dragon Age Origins getting PS3 and Xbox 360 versions after PC launch
BioWare has stated before that Dragon Age Origins will eventually see a console release, and today lead designer Brent Knowles finally gave a release window: after the PC version. Yeah, it’s really vague, especially when you consider that the PC version of Dragon Age Origins is still only scheduled for release sometime in early 2009. Still, it’s something for fans who are worrying if their gaming rigs can handle the PC version. More from Knowles after the jump.

Knowles also explained the decision to bring the game to consoles, citing Mass Effect‘s success on the Xbox 360:
We’re smart. We think about these things a lot and we know that the console market is an important market as well. And it just makes sense. There’s not a lot of RPGs like this available for console players. There’s a lot of people that the console is their primary gaming platform, they aren’t playing on PC.
He also added that console development was always on their minds during Dragon Age Origin‘s development process, so console players can expect a “really strong offering”. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will reportedly be getting a “first look” feature in the November issue of Game Informer, so if you’re interested you might want to grab a copy.
