Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Details

DBZ

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2
, for the ps2“>PS2 and Wii is looking more and more like an awesome stand-alone fighting game. However, the creators don’t want to stop at that. The game is being LOADED with stuff that will please Dragon Ball fans. That’s right, not just Dragon Ball Z but Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT are represented in this game. What’s in this mammoth of a game?

  • 50 hours to complete Story Mode
  • Free Roam Story Mode (sandbox game)
  • Content follows the manga, anime, and movies
  • Character Customization using money (think Gauntlet Legends)
  • Combos, moves, and power can all be customized
  • Arenas are twice as big
  • Interactive arenas (can you say “Spirit Bomb”?)
  • Fusions are in (Gotenks, etc.)
  • Go Super Saiyan mid-fight
  • 120 Characters
  • Dragon Library has information on just about everything Dragon Ball
  • Both Japanese and English for audio and subtitles
  • Choice between WiiMote and GCN controller for combat
  • Enhanced graphics when compared to the PS2 game

How will the controls act? You’ll be using the analog stick to move and buttons on the WiiMote to punch/kick. However, you can use the nunchuck and WiiMote to perform moves like dashing and specials. For example, thrust the nunchuck down to dash ahead. Hold the two parts of the controller in each hand and take the pose for a Kamehameha to do the attack. Different positions can do different attacks. It’s just kind of like many of us pictured it when it was announced! Of course, you can still play traditionally with the GCN controller, but this will be a very fun alternative – especially for parties!
