Dreamcast Homebrew gets published on DS

Destructoid’s Niero alerts all of us that Alten8 is set to publish Harmless Lion Studios’ Cool Herders for the Nintendo DS. What’s notable is that Cool Herders started as a homebrew game for the Dreamcast back in 2001. We’d like to spend a few paragraphs describing the game to you folks, but a few of us here at QJ feel that the video will describe it to you best. So here you go:

Yeah, the game’s the bastard child of Bomberman and Harvest Moon. Don’t worry, the genetic code of those two games are good, and given the clips in this video, this game looks like it’s set to entertain.

Alten8 currently has a rage of ten DS games in production and they claim in their press kit, that the folks from DCNews.co.uk quoted for Cool Herders that it will grow in the next few weeks.  The GOAT Store, LLC is selling the game for US$ 19.90, which is far from a cutthroat price, if you’re out to support stuff that started out as homebrew, you might want to give this game a try.

If you want more details on the game, feel free to head to it’s official site via our “read” link below
