Dreams of a 3-D FFVI PSP remake
There are no words to describe the awesomeness of this venture, so we’ll cut to the chase. Over at the Caves of Narche forums, it’s just come to our attention that someone’s trying to make a 3D version of Final Fantasy VI for his PSP.
Nyxojaele has been working on it for quite a while now, and there’s even a teaser of sorts up on youtube, showing the PSP getting booted up and accessing the teaser trailer. Little by little, there’s shots of the 3D models of Terra and little goodies that up the anticipation factor for this homebrew title.
There’s just one little thing that needs to be addressed. Nyxojaele isn’t releasing this to the public.
Yep, you read that right. No public release.
As of this writing, the most recent comment by Nyxojaele puts it explicitly: “This game is currently not intended to be released to the public. I do not know if it -ever- will be. My lawyer and I are looking into it, and when we have a final decision… you will be the first people to know about it, positive or negative.” Nyxojaele is a Square-Enix fan through and through, and he says that most of all, he wants to look after Square-Enix’s interests above his own.
That being said, let’s see how far he can take his project and be happy in the joy of his creation, even if we don’t see a complete picture of it.
