Dreamworks’ Movie Flushed Away to the DS
Movies turned to video games is not something new, and Flushed Away joins in on the bandwagon. Flushed Away is an upcoming film from DreamWorks Animation and Aardman. The new DreamWorks animated film introduces us to Roddy, an adventurous character flushed to a bustling world below the streets of London; Rita, a beautiful street-smart beggar who is also a thief; and Jammy Dodger, Rita’s boat that has his own personality.
Take control of any of these three characters in the Nintendo DS game of the movie. Go through the underground canals of London and battle the villainous Toad. Master each of the character’s signature moves – Roddy’s ‘dashing fence attack’, Rita’s ‘bouncing bungee’, and Jammy Dodger’s ‘crayon crossbow’. The quest for unique items and power-ups also add to the game’s excitement. This game – which will also be released in GBA, GC, and PS2 – will utilize the touch screen and the microphone in situational mini games spread throughout the game’s story mode.
Flushed Away (the game) will be out on the 24th of November. If you need a little more convincing that the game is worth a try, watch the movie which is slated for a November 6 release and features the voices of Hugh Jackman (Roddy), Kate Winslet (Rita), and Ian McKellen (Toad).
