DS Browser now available in North America
Opera Software is coming out with a web browser for the Nintendo DS so that North American fans of the handheld can enjoy internet access through a Wi-Fi environment and access all their favorite websites.
Priced at US$ 29.99, the browser comes in a package that resembles an ordinary DS game. It comes in two variants made specifically for the original DS while the other one is for the more compact DS Lite.
Any of the two screens of the DS can be used. Better yet, users can make the two small screens work like one larger screen. According to Scott Hedrick, EVP Marketing for Opera Software, the browser should make the already popular DS platform even more enjoyable for its large install base.
“Opera is excited to work with Nintendo to bring the easy and accessible way to browse the Internet to DS lovers in North America,” he says. “DS Browser makes it easy to check news, popular user generated content sites or comparison shop while in a Wi-Fi hotspot.”
