DS Drum Machine (TR-909) released
TheChuckster has released a new NDS program that mimics the TR-909 beat box machine. According to Thechuckster, this TR-909 drum machine was released during the electronic dance revolution and has been in his heart ever since. This program was made as tribute to the TR-909 and it has done a good job from what I could tell.
The program itself runs on the top screen of the Nintendo DS and automatically starts playing the default beats upon launching the program. You can clear the notes by pressing start, changing the notes using “A” and navigate through the columns using the directional pad. I’m not a big fan of drum machines from the Stone Age, but this program can get some very different beats going if you know how to set it up the way you want it. I’m sure you will find this a nice, free alternative to Electroplankton for the time being!
