DS homebrew – MegaHAL v1
MegaHAL is a chatterbot program ported by cyberboy (aka asiekierka) to the Nintendo DS. It works just like those online chatterbots like Bucket and A.L.I.C.E. Just type some stuff on your DS and voila! You’re “chatting” with the bot.

MegaHAL is a chatterbot program ported by cyberboy (aka asiekierka) to the Nintendo DS. It works just like those online chatterbots like Bucket and A.L.I.C.E. Just type some stuff on your DS and voila! You’re “chatting” with the bot.
This is the first release of MegaHAL, but the developer says it’s already very close to what his original vision was. Here’s a list of general MegaHAL commands:
- QUIT – Quit without saving (turn off your DS yourself)
- EXIT – Quit while saving (turn off your DS yourself after about 5 seconds)
- SAVE – Just save
- QUIET – leave MegaHal quiet (on/off; by default off)
