Developer sepro (aka Sebastian Proost) has announced the release of the final build of the DSCube homebrew game for the Nintendo DS.
Some of the new stuff included in this release are a medium 4x4x4 version of this 3D Rubik’s Cube puzzle, and improved camera controls. Here’s the changelog (quoting the readme):
- ADDED A 4x4x4 VERSION
- combined DSCube with pocketCubeDS and new 4x4x4 check options menu
- removed limitation on camera movement
- lots of optimalisations under the hood mainly to speed up the 4x4x4
- added documentation
sepro clarifies that this won’t be the last release of DSCube, despite the “final” label in its title. This simply means that any new releases he creates will be just to address bugs, and that there won’t be any drastic changes to the homebrew’s build.
Keep in mind that this new version won’t be unable to run on the save files from previous builds. Further details on DSCube’s controls and other important information are available in the file bundle’s readme. Enjoy the download and be sure to stick around in case we hear of any related updates.
