Dungeons & Dragons Online: Dragon’s Vault Notes
A sneak peek of some of the exciting changes that are a part of the Dragon’s Vault Module have been posted at the Dungeons and Dragons Online Forums. These preliminary notes for the module are from the Module 1 release, and there’s lots more listed at the forums.
Note: this is not the final list by any means. Apparently, they just wanted to give gamers a preview of what’s in store.
Performance-wise, players will no longer receive falling damage for walking. They have also implemented more changes to improve dialup performance.
UI improvements include weapon set shortcuts will allow gamers to set up a single item shortcut to point to both a main weapon and off-hand item. So, for example, you can now equip two daggers, or a sword and a shield – all with one shortcut. Also, Potion and Scroll icons all now have a mini-spell icon in their upper left corner to help identify what spell the item casts.
And in online news, gamers will now get a message in chat when one of their friends goes on or offline. And the Guild list now updates members’ online status.
