Dungeons & Dragons Online Launched in Asia

Dragon

Finally, DDO will be coming to Japan where FFO reigns supreme. SAKURA Internet Inc. and Turbine, Inc. has brought the DDO franchise to the land of the rising sun. The launching of DDO in Japan marks an important milestone for SAKURA as they continue to lead in the growth of online gaming.

The game, based on the pen and paper game of Dungeons & Dragons, has been “asianized”. They developed Asian-themed armors, weapons, and content. So will we be seeing Samurais and Ninja on DDO now? Cool features include customizable characters, dungeons filled with traps and monsters, an on-screen 20-sided die, and a Dungeon Master. What else will our friends from the east expect from DDO?

Authentic D&D characters & Monsters. Players can create characters from 9 classes, 6 races, with over 100 skills, feats, and looks. Combination is almost limitless.

Gripping Combat. It requires tactical thinking and quick reflexes to take down an enemy. Unlike most Online games, player skill is more important than stats. The better the skill, the more chances of survival.

Dangerous Dungeons. Traps, puzzles, and fierce monsters are all around. Don’t forget the treasures and rewards at every end of the road.

Authentic Party-based D&D Gameplay. Coordinate tactics with the integrated voice system to experience small party battles. Remember not to shout, guys. Players can choose solo or part-based games.

Here’s hoping DDO does well in Japan.
