Word is that publishing superstar Electronic Arts has dropped from the list of exhibitors at IDG World Expo’s E For All (more officially named EforAll) exposition coming in late October. Official word hasn’t been given, but some evidence lead people to believe that EA won’t be heading to the Los Angeles Convention Center, despite previous announcements naming the publisher as one of the main attendees.

And although E For All was supposed to serve as a replacement to the former E3 is dedicated greatly to consumers, it appears that the event might be more sparsely populated than anticipated. Firing Squad claims that Activision and D3Publisher will be no-shows at E For All, while previous announcements from Microsoft and Sony ensured that at least two players in the console wars won’t show up either.

Houdini disappearing acts aside, however, E For All seems to be having trouble getting other major game entities to join the bandwagon. This doesn’t look good for an exposition so ambitiously planned. Time will tell if E For All can shape up what it was planned to become. More on these as they develop.
