Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells recently revealed that Trophy support for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is headed our way very soon. According to Wells, the patch containing trophy support could possibly hit in mid-August or sooner, depending on the speed of Sony‘s testing of the patch.
Wells revealed that the patch was “incredibly easy” to implement due to preliminary support they put in the game via Uncharted’s Medals reward system. He also made it known that they added the preliminary support for Trophies because Naughty Dog was expecting Sony to make trophies available before Uncharted’s launch in November 2007.
Acquiring the Trophies for the game will also be a relatively simple affair if you’ve already played the game, as you need to play the game again to pick up the trophies they’ve made available for gamers. Not exactly the fastest way to achieve Trophy goodness, but it seems to be the fair solution if you’re getting the patch.
