E3 2009: New PSP puzzler echochrono revealed
Self co-op kinda sounds like a dirt term, but it’s actually a new concept being introduced in SCE Japan Studios and Artoon‘s upcoming PSP puzzler, echochrono. As you can guess by the name, yes, this is a spin-off of echochrome so expect the same puzzle concept. The design’s still minimalist, but it does have a tad more color than echochrome. The “chrono” part in the title is where things get interesting. Details in the full article.

The puzzles in this game are laid out in such a way that you can’t solve them on your own the first time through, so you have to “die” a few times to create ghosts to help you clear each level. The more you start over, the more ghosts you get.
There will be 30 different puzzle types including moving objects, switch-controlled doors, and crumbling floors. These are spread out across nine themed world, each of which will have five levels for a total of 45 levels.
Echochrono is currently slated for a Fall/Winter 2009 release. DLC will be made available after launch.
