E3 Update: Five new Ghost Squad screenshots
Five new screens chock-full of anti-terrorism through judicious gunplay in this eye candy delivery straight from E3, and it’s distinctly Ghost Squad-flavored. We get you the latest on one of the games that’ll be a blast to play with the newly-announced Wii Zapper.
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of playing this quality lightgun-shooter in your local arcades, then you know how ridiculously well-executed in both gameplay and presentation Sega‘s Ghost Squad is. Not only do you have a black market bounty’s worth of weapons to choose from, but you also had other gameplay elements other than simply tearing through hordes of terrorists with a spray of gunshots – those being the parts where you actually had to defuse bombs in the middle of a firefight, or physically deliver a crushing beatdown to a charging terrorist or two.
The good news about these screens? The fact that the graphics look extremely faithful to the original arcade version, with a few next-gen touchups here and there. Definitely solid and sharp, and the textures aren’t looking too bad either. Here’s hoping for an added bonus stage or more hidden paths! Updates as we get them, and in the meantime, enjoy the scans.
