“E3@Home”: download E3 coverage via PlayStation Network
A few days ago, the prospect of Sony offering users some coverage from E3 was only hinted at by a banner put up on the PlayStation Store. It read, quite simply, “E3: Get ready for something new July 11th – July 13th.” Today though, as GamesIndustry reports, Sony has finally revealed their plans.
Via the PlayStation Store, SCEA will offer PS3 users the chance to download trailers, videos, and other content straight from the E3 Media & Business Summit. Cool! Not so “invite only” now, huh? It’s pretty big news too, considering that only press and other members of the media are invited to the event, now, Sony’s showing your some E3 love too.
It’s also been said that the entire SCEA conference will be available for download as well. And what can we expect from that conference? Let us give you a clue: it’s kind of a “rice cut” only it starts with a letter “p.”
Yep, despite all the denials from SCEA, a lot of analysts still seem to place their bets on a price cut announcement, so you can probably bet your own US$ 100 savings that we’ll bring you guys updates by the time E3 hits.
Well, it’s either the SCEA conference announces a price drop… or maybe another public apology about Resistance…
