With the announcement of the God of War novel and comics, plus the Prince of Persia comic anthology, one may find that novels and comic books seem to be all the rage lately. Electronic Arts and Dark Horse Comics are jumping on that money train as the two announce that they will be working on the Mass Effect comic series based on the sci-fi video game.
Set to launch on January 6th, 2010, Mass Effect: Redemption will extend the storyline of the series, shedding light on the events leading up to Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360 and PC). Story will be penned by lead writer Mac Walters, who also wrote the script for Mass Effect 2. John Jackson Miller (Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, The Invincible Iron Man) will be taking care of the script, while Omar Francia (Star Wars Legacy) will be handling the art.
As you probably guessed, they’ll be talking more about this four-part comic book series in San Diego, where their Comic-Con presentation will be held. Walters and Francia will be signing autographs between 4-5PM on July 24th, in case you’re interested.
