EA Canada: FaceBreaker Wii not a port
Here’s something good for Wii owners: EA Canada just disclosed that the Wii version of their upcoming light-hearted fighting title FaceBreaker is not, in their own words, a port. So what does this mean, and what can we expect from the game? Hit the full article for more details.
We’ve seen how fun Electronic Art’s FaceBreaker is, and we couldn’t wait to see more of the game’s motley crew of personalities, with their own unique fighting styles. The game, as we all know, will be released for the three major consoles (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) but here’s something that was only recently revealed: The Wii version of FaceBreaker is not a mirror of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
So what difference can we expect from the Wii version of FaceBreaker that will set it apart from its PS3 and Xbox 360 counterparts? Developer EA Canada did not delve on specifics, but said the following:
So we chose to build just about everything from scratch specifically for the Wii. No port here folks. And for what it’s worth, I believe that what FaceBreaker on the Wii lacks in super-duper, razzle-dazzle graphics, it more than makes up for by delivering a FaceBreakin’ good time for you and your friends that you can only get on the Wii.
Hmm, intriguing, to say the least. Will we get some hard-hitting action similar to the movement-heavy boxing event in Wii Sports? We’re free to speculate, of course, but we know that you can’t wait to get your hands on more details, so stay tuned.
