EA developing 70s rhythm title for the Wii?

Disco ball - Image 1After letting the Wii community know that folks will be getting the likes of SSX Blur, Tiger Woods, and Medal of Honor, Electronic Arts is apparently prepping up another exclusive mystery title for Nintendo‘s next-gen console. We’re pretty scarce for details at the moment, but it’s known that the new IP is going to be a rhythm game which will make full use of the Wiimote/Nunchuck combo.

And as for the part that really gets our groove movin’ – it’s said to be set in a 70s theme, which could mean some seriously funky disco tunes for console owners if this gets confirmed. The game is said to be in development at EA’s Montreal studio, although there is no available info for any game details or a release date –  we’ll await further announcements on this and EA’s other plans.

In retrospect, this would do well to complement the highly successful Elite Beat Agents title for the DS, though we’d envision a polyesterized Travolta sprite instead of a Blues Brothers trio, if you get our drift.
