EA Mythic reveals Warhammer Online Disciple of Khaine career details

The Warhammer Online logo - Image 1A lot of MMORPGs have traditional character archetypes who specialize in either close combat or healing. On the other hand, what if you were to combine the two into a hybrid melee-support character? That is precisely the premise behind the Disciples of Khaine in EA Mythic‘s Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. This time around, we take a closer look at how the Druchii dark clerics fight, steal and heal.

More about the Disciples of Khaine after the jump!

While priests or clerics in most MMORPGs are usually known for their healing and support abilities, there are certain priests in EA Mythic‘s Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning that resort to rather unorthodox methods of healing and support – namely, the Disciples of Khaine.

It appears that EA Mythic has designed the Disciples of Khaine as hybrid warrior-support classes on Warhammer Online, differing from the “usual” priests in the sense that they must fight first in order to heal. Specifically, these dark elf priests use their ritual blades to draw their enemies’ blood, steal their enemies’ strength and pass on what was stolen to the Disciples’ fellow Druchii via dark rituals.

Deadly? Most definitely, but as with other melee classes in EA Mythic’s MMORPG,  the Disciples of Khaine are only dangerous if they can get within melee range of their opponents. Ranged classes should have no problem keeping them at bay, while the other melee classes in Warhammer Online must seek to nail the Disciple of Khain before the dark priest can steal their very essences.

If this has piqued your interest in more Warhammer Online careers, then stay tuned as EA Mythic shines the spotlight on the other archetypes in the future.
