EA preorder contest for Command & Conquer 3!
Electronic Arts Los Angeles (EALA) is feeling generous today. For pre-ordering Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars from EA itself via EA Link (don’t worry, the Read Link will take you to where you need to go), from the 16th to the 30th of the month, you stand a chance to win a trip to meet and greet the EALA team behind the latest reincarnation of Kane! Here’s what the grand prize will contain:
- Roundtrip airfare for you and 1 guest to LAX.
- 3 days, 2 nights stay at the Ritz Carlton hotel in beautiful Marina Del Rey.
- Access to the upcoming Command & Conquer 3 Community Summit, where youÂ’ll get to meet the dev team, play the game first, and tell us what you think! (Date TBD).
- $200 in cash!
- All applicable ground transportation.
Okay, the price of this chance at the sweepstakes, aside from the price of preorder of course, is that you have to install EA Link onto your PC so you can preorder in the first place. The real question then is, is it worth making the preorder, installing yet another EA-branded program on my PC, and so forth, just to be able to attend the next Community Summit of select C&C fans?
From one C&C nutcase (this writer) to another, ask yourself this: if you’ve followed Westwood Studios from Dune II, blown Seth’s brains out (SPOILER ALERT!), actually know how a Gap Generator works, participate in the community civil war that was Generals, created a 101 Recipes for Tiberium cookbook, and absolutely have a present to give to Tanya Adams (*wink*)… yeah, you’d love a crack at an all-expense paid trip to meet the EALA team, and other C&C nutcases like you and me. Sure, the chances of winning are as slim as an orc’s chances of surviving an Ion Cannon blast, but there’s an old saying: if you’re so afraid of losing that you don’t get into the game, then there’s no chance you can win anyway.
