EA presents Army Of Two

EA LogoAs the pre-E3 buzz is getting stronger, more and more titles are being announced by publishers. Another one is Army Of Two, an action title which, pretty unusual for today, focuses on a two-player cooperative mode.

Due on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2007, Army Of Two puts players into today’s crisis zones all around the globe to fight a vast conspiracy sowing turmoil and war amongst our society. Unique two-player strategies and teamwork will be required to succeed in many parts of the game – and when a second player is not around, the intelligent Partner AI sets in to efficiently and authentically complement the first one.

Army Of Two is also notable for being the first title developed by EA’s brand-new Montreal studio, and the first original property for next-generation systems.

“This is the game we’ve always wanted to create. Until now, the hardware would not allow us to deliver truly intelligent AI characters. We’ve built this game with co-operative TWO man gameplay as the centerpiece of the experience”, commented Reid Schneider, Senior producer at EA Montreal. So for those still lamenting the lack of coop-enabled games these days – you finally have something to look forward to!
