UNLV - Image 1Electronic Arts has landed in some legal hot water due to the use of the UNLV fight song “Win With the Rebels” in the company’s NCAA college sports franchises.

Reno resident Gerald Willis, who composed “Win With the Rebels”, has slapped a lawsuit on EA for including the song in ten different games from four of the company’s different NCAA college sports franchises.

Willis is asking for up to US$ 150,000 for each copyright violation, so this lawsuit could possibly cost EA more than a million dollars. UNLV itself is not named in the lawsuit as according to Willis’ lawyer, the school holds a limited license to use the song.
