Earth Defense Force comes to US with an “X” factor
When it comes to Earth Defense Force 3, everything began during this year’s Tokyo Game Show. We introduced the game, shared with you some screenshots and videos, all the while knowing the game isn’t going to ship here in North American shores. Sometimes, it’s just plain disappointing.
It seems that the game gained enough recognition during the festivities, one publisher decided to pick it up. D3 Publisher just announced that they will be releasing the game in the U.S. and Canada. The game will now be known as Earth Defense Force X.
We wonder how the game would fare ’round here. For Xbox 360 alone, there are a couple of mech titles already slugging it out. You have Armored Core 4, Lost Planet and throw in there Mobile Suit Gundam. We’re not saying that Earth Defense is a push over, we’re not saying that at all. If anything, we’re kind of banking its PS2 fans would come out in full force to show support.
What’s your pick anyway? Well, we guess we’ll just see when the game finally arrives. Earth Defense Force X will be released next week around the Pacific region while we have to wait a while until Spring of next year.
