Earthworm Jim heading to PSN, XBLA, WiiWare, mobile platforms
Earthworm Jim is getting ready for another adventure with Princess What’s-Her-Name thanks to a deal between Gameloft and Interplay that has cleared the way for the former to develop, distribute, and publish an Earthworm Jim game for PSN, Xbox Live, WiiWare, and mobile platforms.
Earthworm Jim is getting ready for another adventure with Princess What’s-Her-Name thanks to a deal between Gameloft and Interplay that has cleared the way for the former to develop, distribute, and publish an Earthworm Jim game for PSN, Xbox Live, WiiWare, and mobile platforms.
While virtually nothing is known yet about this new Earthworm Jim game, the existence of the original Sega Genesis title on WiiWare suggests that it may either be a totally new adventure or or a powered up remake, at the very least. “Mobile platforms” also indicates that we may see an App Store release as well.
The game will be available in the last quarter of 2009, with the Xbox 360 getting timed exclusivity for a whole month. Somebody get working on an HD Boogerman, quick!
