EA’s Burnout Legends is a slow race on PSP
Source: punchjump
EA’s PSP version of the hit racing game called Burnout Legends was playable at E3. The brand new handheld game included the same takedown elements as its big brother, but was sorely missing the speed that makes the game a blast.
The problem lies in the current graphics engine. Burnout Legends is racing at 30 frames per second, or half of what fans of the PS2 version are used to seeing. The result is a racing game that doesn’t provide the speed or intensity that the series is known for. Takedowns feel slow and lack impact, and races don’t blaze by like previous versions.
Burnout Legends is currently 70% complete and should drop later this year.
