EA’s Skate Confirmed Both For PS3 and X360
According to the rumor that came our way recently, Electronic Arts is currently working on its first title in the skateboarding genre. Supposedly, it is for PlayStation 3 and under the working title Skate. Regarding that matter, something more concrete came our way yet again – an EA Press Release.
Yes, the rumors are true. EA through its Black Box division is indeed working on a skateboarding title. No, Skate isn’t a working title. In fact, the game will be released under that name in 2007. And finally, no, the game isn’t a PS3 exclusive. It will be hitting Microsoft‘s Xbox 360 as well.
According to Black Box Executive Producer Scott Blackwood, “Our game offers a skate mecca for both skaters and gamers in search of the definitive authentic skating video game experience.” Also, Blackwood promises that no two tricks will ever be the same because of Skate‘s unique control schemes, physics driven animations and intelligent cameras.
The game also features amazing skaters Danny Way and PJ Ladd. EA also mentioned something about a fully reactive skateboarding city but no other details were furnished.
