East meets West: US Wii commercial

We know you’re all up to your ears with Wii commercials and trailers (Wii experience, anybody?), but up to this point, you’ll notice that they’ve been geared for our Far Eastern-oriented friends, and while we do indeed like them, it just doesn’t feel right.

Call it a wii-erd sense of patriotism, but we’d really like to see something local, something American…something with a taste of home. And that’s why we were very happy to find this Nintendo-endorsed commercial over at youtube, which is the very first U.S.-based Wii commercial we’ve seen.

Sure, it’s much shorter than a lot of the previous stuff we’ve been seeing, but it’s got that red-blooded-American touch to it that makes it feel right at home, like apple pie, or Cadillacs, or Cowboys ‘n Indians, or Jack Thompson, or GTA…*sniff*…Welcome to America, Wii.
