EB Games Australia starting to deliver Wii VIP cards
Remember when we told you about the pre-order deal that EB Games was offering to the Australian public? The one where they said they would give free Wii VIP cards to everyone who pre-order the Wii? And they also said that the VIP card can be used to buy a game every month at a discounted price? Well then, be happy to know that EB has so far kept true to their promise.
As reports would have it, as of October 20, the Wii VIP cards have already been delivered to the stores, and then given to their proper owners in turn. Also, it has been confirmed that the first Wii game which VIP cardholders can avail of a discount would be Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam, and not The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess as was previously reported.
The game will be sold to cardholders at AU$ 89.95 (US$ 68) instead of the usual AU$109.95 (US$ 83), though there is still no information on how this discount will apply to first-party software as well as EA software which has been previously listed for AU$ 99.95 (US$ 75). VIP members will be informed about the month’s featured game via email, and they would then just have to flash their cards at the store when buying the said game.
For those who haven’t placed their pre-orders yet, don’t despair since this offer is still available at EB Games, so everyone will still have the chance to avail of the VIP card.
