Over on the QJ.NET PSP Development forums, PSP homebrew developer a_noob has released version 1 of EffectsMB, a plugin that lets you customize the look of your PSP even further.
EffectsMB basically lets you choose from a bunch of psychedelic color effects for your PSP’s XMB. Once you’ve installed the plugin, you can switch between effects via the left and right triggers.
There are 31 effects in all. Here’s a sample of the color effects you can achieve with EffectsMB:
