Eidos president Ian Livingstone has confirmed what pretty much every Hitman fan has been waiting for: a new Hitman game. It’s not really a surprise, but it’s still good to have some confirmation at least.
In an interview with GameIndians, Livingstone confirmed that IO Interactive is indeed developing the next installment in the hit franchise:
It’s being worked on, but there’s been no announcement on the release date yet. We haven’t even announced the game yet, so everything you hear about the next Hitman game is purely speculation at this point.
Livingstone also noted that the game is being developed alongside a new Kane & Lynch game and Mini-Ninjas, so it may take a while until we see Agent 47 in action again.
