Eidos officially unveils Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men has been quietly making the rounds on the internet for a few weeks already: The game was the cover story of Game Informer, the issue revealed some first-look screens and info. Now, Eidos has released the official announcement for the new game by IOI Interactive (Hitman series, Freedom Fighters), along with two brand new screenshots.
Kane & Lynch is a story-driven third person shooter with strong focus on coop gameplay. It tells the story of two death-row convicts who couldn’t be more different from each other. One is a flawed mercenary, the other a psychopath on constant medication. Still, fate decides to bring these two together against their will as they make their way out of prison and embark on a violent, chaotic journey. The hate for each other boiling, Kane and Lynch are drawn into a number of unpleasant situations, where the only common factor the two men share is their love for firearms.
“Take IOÂ’s innovation and graphical excellence from the Hitman series, add some of their widely acclaimed squad expertise from Freedom Fighters, then take these to a new level in next-generation technology. Add a gripping story, an anti-hero and a psychopath and you get Kane & Lynch: Dead Men; the ultimate next generation experience”, said Larry Sparks, Head of Brand Management at Eidos.
With the official announcement out, expect more details and screenshots to follow in the coming months. Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is set for a 2007 release on Xbox 360 and PC.
