Electronic Arts Canada is certainly looking serious in its effort  to put together the best installment of its long-running FIFA Soccer franchise, FIFA 08. Eight screenshots have been released and they’re looking better than ever.

My, my, aren’t those the most realistic legs we’ve ever seen in a soccer game? The FIFA 08 screenshots below also look very nicely done. As good as the preview graphics are, EA has assured us all that the new and improved gameplay system will be the star of this show. The controls, it says, have been revamped for more precision, and a new 35-point decision engine has been added to make CPU players smarter than ever. Real-time decisions will be made by players you don’t control, so watch out for that.

The next-gen consoles are slated to have a new commentator to freshen things up on the audio side. If you still don’t know why the world goes ga-ga over this sport, maybe it’s time to check FIFA 08 out and see for yourself.
