Electronic Arts producing Dead Space animated movie
Outer Space. Aliens. A creepy title. Dead Space is a dead ringer for a movie, which is why Electronic Arts is producing one for the upcoming game. Details in the full article.
Electronic Arts‘ upcoming video game Dead Space (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC) has already earned itself a comic book series to its name, and the game isn’t even out yet. Now, EA has announced that the game has another media outlet under its belt: an animated movie.
The animated Dead Space movie will first be released on TV, and then on DVD. The movie will act as a prequel to Dead Space‘s storyline and will reveal new details about the actual game. Both will be released right before Halloween, on October 28.
The movie will pick up where the comic book series will leave off, and will lead up to the beginning of the game. The story will follow the spaceship USG Ishimura as they discover an alien artifact and wakes up a dormant alien species.
The studio that will be animating Dead Space is a division of Starz Media: Film Roman, the same studio behind The Simpsons and The King of the Hill.
