Elevate your mind: more Fire Emblem details confirmed
Although I was more of a FF Tactics fan than a Fire Emblem buff, that doesn’t mean to say that Goddess of Dawn doesn’t get me giddy like a kid high on Pez.
FE: GoD will be the first strategy-RPG (meaning tactical, that is) for the Wii, after all. And playing a tactics game on the Wii (especially with the prospect of using the Wiimote during battle) strikes me as a very appealing thing indeed. But will the Wiimote really be supported?
The Famitsu scans we’ve had before left us with a bit of guesswork, and no one seemed to know if the Classic Controller support (and only CC support) was confirmed. It turns out that it actually isn’t so. We’ve just got more info from The Wiire that Famitsu‘s confirmed that the game can be played with the CC, Wiimote + Nunchuk, or even the GC controller. Neat-o!
Aside from this, we’ve also learned that there will be a total of 44 chapters here, as opposed to Path of Radiance‘s 28 on the GameCube. There’ll be three new weapon and magic types, and will still utilize the Path of Radiance engine (with more cinematics and character renders). Now as far as the elevation factor goes, Famitsu further reveals that geography and character height differences will affect gameplay actions.
Interesting developments, I daresay. The game comes out in Japan on the 22nd of next month. For the rest of the world… Better start practicing your tactics. We’ll bring you guys more info as they come along.
