Elevator Mission coming to VC, but what is it exactly?
Some thing’s brewing in the ESRB list and it could be an old classic coming back to life. We noticed that there’s a game listed in as Elevator Mission by a publisher named UFO and it brings to mind a couple of games.
The first title to come to mind is a 1983 arcade release by Taito called Elevator Action which could have been renamed to go along with its jump for the Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console. The Taito game featured a man who seems to be a spy fighting his way through a horde of enemy agents through 30 hostile levels. Spies do missions, so that may have been the rationale for the name change.
Yet another possibility is that this could be a resurrection of an ancient release on the Amiga system called Mission Elevator. There’s not a lot of information available on that title, so we’ll have to keep you pinned until we find new morsels of enlightenment on the matter.
