She will turn into the big bad final boss - Image 1The media embargo has finally ended for Overlord: Dark Legend, and with its lifting comes out new information on the latest action RPG title for the Wii from developer Climax Entertainment and publisher Codemasters.

Here are some of the new details that’s emerged about the game, in a nutshell:

  • Tentative June release for Europe
  • Wiimote provides FPS-like camera control
  • Point and click to direct minions to a specific area
  • Use Z to attack with main character
  • Wiimote-pointing to sen your minions to zones that you cannot reach right away
  • Shaking Wiimote will charge minions like a bomb. Careful, though. You don’t want to shake them too much preemptively, as it will cause them to explode. Launch minions and they’ll explode on impact. Guide minions slightly by tilting Wiimote.
  • No sex or alcohol references
  • Up to 25 minions at once, different types as well
  • 12-14 hours of playtime with lots of replayability
  • There is a castle that acts as a hub
  • Five themes in-game, like one such Little Red Riding Hood-turned-into-a-wolf final boss
  • Links to Overlord 1 plot

This is definitely sounding like it’s something to look out for on the Wii. Enough to make us keep a closer watch on this one.
