Are Wii Play-ing now? Not yet

When Wii and its unique controller Wiimote was being conceptualized, Nintendo thought it is necessary to give the market a proper introduction of the technology. Hence, two titles were born: Wii Sports and Wii Play. Of the two, Wii Sports is getting more attention as it came bundled with the console itself.

Well, it seems that is going to change as we have an update for you regarding the other title. Unfortunately for fans here in the Americas, it seems that Wii Play is going to be delayed. While Nintendo is yet to make any official statements, gaming site GoNintendo mentioned that they have found this on the company’s online press room:

Wii Play delayed

Originally, the game was expected to come out together with WarioWare. Hmm, we wonder what happened. Quite honestly, we’ve been wanting to get that game ever since it was first revealed. Despite it being a whole new collection of mini games, we can’t help but be reminded of the good old retro days. Oh, well. we’ll keep an ear for any Nintendo statements and update you as soon as possible.
